Kilimanjaro International Airport
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Depending on your schedule, you will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and driven for two hours on a lovely paved route to Tarangire National Park, where you should arrive by mid-morning. You will start your first game drive in this park, which is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley and is well-known for its enormous herds of elephants that are dwarfed by the enormous baobab trees that adorn the park, after registering at the entrance. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park and supplies an essential source of water year-round, gives the park its name. This ensures that wildlife will always be present. Until later in the afternoon, game viewing with a focus on finding animals and birds, and then a transfer to the campsite.

You travel to the Serengeti National Park after eating a freshly made breakfast at your campsite from your safari chef. You pass past the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and up the escarpment of the Rift Valley. We arrive at Naabi Hill Gate around mid-morning, where you may unwind for a little while while your guide works through the paperwork. After that, you’ll head directly to the middle Serengeti for your game drive, where you’ll spend the entire afternoon searching for wildlife until dusk. You set up tent in the late afternoon at Seronera, where there are several public campsites to choose from. Every meal is served.

If you’re an early riser, consider going on early morning game drives. After breakfast, pack a sandwich and proceed to the plains to see more animals and birds. The Big Five—leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes—as well as other huge game like hartebeests, topis, zebras, and giraffes, as well as predators like cheetahs and silverback jackals—are among the many animals that may be seen in the Serengeti today. Being home to more than 500 species of birds, Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s birding destinations. You will go game viewing later at dusk before returning to your tent for a well-earned shower and rest.

You have the option to go on early morning game drives again this morning. Following breakfast, you leave the Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch in tow and enjoy game drives along the way. You will arrive at your campsite at the Ngorongoro Crater’s edge later in the afternoon, where you will set up camp for the night. You will have the choice to stop at the Maasai Villages or the Olduvai Gorge on the route to the campground. The renowned researchers Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey found the remains of Zinjanthropus boisei, also known as Australopithecus Boisei or the “Nutcracker Man,” at the Olduvai Gorge, a well-known archaeological site.

After eating an early breakfast this morning, head to the Ngorongoro Crater floor as early as 6:00 a.m. to avoid the crowds and increase your chances of viewing both nocturnal and diurnal species of wildlife. Spend the day on the bottom of the world’s largest intact caldera, which serves as a natural zoo for hundreds of creatures. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to see the Big Five on this one particular day. In addition to being home to the Big Five, Ngorongoro is renowned for having the largest concentration of wildlife per square area despite its tiny size of only 21 kilometers. It is also home to a broad variety of animals and birds. After that, you’ll be taken to Kilimanjaro International Airport to board your flight home.
